Some of the most common stressors are the ones that we all face from time to time: the weather, the house, the job, the family, and the kids, to name a few. The good news is that you can avoid some of the major stressors by thinking about them in a different way. One way to change your stress response is to learn to think in a different way.

For instance, when you work in a place where people are constantly asking you to do things for them, your stress response will be elevated since there is always something that needs to be done to them. But if you look at the situation as a series of micro situations, you’ll begin to notice that the same stress hormones do not occur in every situation. Instead of stress hormones, you will notice that the stress hormones are in the same place, but are in a different form than before.

The new stress hormone is called Substance P. It is released in the body when there is a buildup of stress hormones. The chemical makes up a kind of a “chemical memory” in the brain. The brain will remember what happened in the past, and it will remember things that are happening right now, even if they are unrelated to the stress the person is under. We are talking about headaches that are caused by stress. The headache is caused by stress, and the stress is caused by the headache. The first thing we need to do is to figure out what it is that is causing the stress. Then we can figure out what to do about it.
