Its good that the majority of our mental activities are not on autopilot because its good for us. For one, it keeps us from becoming lazy. It will also prevent us from getting addicted to something. But there are some who may not agree with this.

I don’t know anyone who’s become lazy, and everyone always complains that they have an addiction to something. I don’t think the lack of self-awareness in the beginning of a relationship is an addiction, but it sure is a problem. If you want to know why someone has an addiction, ask them.

I think the problem is not in lack of awareness. I think the problem is in the inability to control our thoughts and emotions that we have gotten addicted to. To be addicted we need to be able to control our thoughts and emotions. This is a hard problem to tackle, and if you haven’t figured it out yet, I suggest reading “Self-Awareness: The Power of Being Your Own Person” by Dan Pink.

To be addicted to something, you have to feel the need to have it. The same is true of relationship. You have to feel the need to have the relationship. In the end, they both are like alcohol. You can have a lot of it, but when you drink it stops being a habit.

I like the idea of being addicted to something, but if it’s just for exercise, then don’t be. If you want to control your habits, so be it.

My personal opinion on “addiction to something” is that it’s nothing to get caught up in. It’s just some side effect, like a headache, from the constant use of an opioid. Its nothing that can be prevented, or cured. You have to want it in the first place.

It’s no different for alcohol. It’s just a habit. Its no problem trying to stop. You just have to recognize it as a habit. And if you recognize it, you have to be able to do something about it. You can’t just stop because it feels too good. You know, maybe you should stop, but you don’t want to. I know a lot of people who got into trouble when they stopped. They just weren’t able to do it.

Opiate addiction is something we all have to deal with as humans. Some of us have long-term addictions – and some of us get into addictions that are just for a short period of time. It’s a hard thing to overcome, but it can be done. You just have to recognize it as a habit and decide to change it. It doesnt have to be an addiction or a habit. It just has to be something you are willing to change.
